Innovation-led coronavirus NGS solutions and integrated bioinformatics to advance your research

Emerging pandemics require accelerated development of innovative technologies to enable faster mitigatory responses. Advances in molecular epidemiology by examining pathogen phylogenetics and virus strain evolution, as well as insights into pathogen-host-microbiome interactions and metatranscriptomics can trigger developments in phylogeographic tracking, as well as vaccine and drug discovery research. With innovation at the heart of its mission, partner with QIAGEN to benefit from the full spectrum of our high-performance NGS solutions and integrated bioinformatics pipelines that collectively drive a greater understanding of the multiple facets of SARS-CoV-2 biology.

SARS-CoV-2
epidemiology

Combatting the COVID-19 pandemic requires greater insights into the molecular epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2 to trace existing outbreaks, study viral evolution and advance vaccine and drug development research. To support these efforts, we’ve developed the new QIAseq SARS-CoV-2 Primer Panelan NGS-based solution for targeted enrichment of the complete viral genome. Multiplex up to 384 samples using a faster workflow, and rapidly analyze your data with integrated analysis pipelines. Based on optimized publicly-available ARTIC V3 designs, the QIAseq SARS-CoV-2 Primer Panel minimizes primer dropouts and primer-dimer effects. Combine with the QIAseq FX DNA Library UDI Kit to convert amplicons into NGS-ready libraries compatible with Illumina platforms. Achieve high library complexity and maximize coverage with our optimized, single-day workflows, which are faster and have lower-input requirements compared to hybrid capture solutions.

SARS-CoV-2
metatranscriptomics

Deciphering the complex interplay between the host and its microbiota can unlock detailed insights into host, microbiome, virus and pathway responses. Highly abundant host and bacterial rRNA can be problematic in coronavirus metatranscriptomics studies, leading to wasted RNA-seq reads. To maximize unique gene expression reads, remove >95% of both host and bacterial rRNA in just 1 hour, while still retaining viral RNAs by using QIAseq FastSelect –rRNA HMR Kits and QIAseq FastSelect –5S/16S/23S Kits either separately or in combination. Then move on to stranded, high-quality library prep using the QIAseq Stranded Total RNA Lib Kit for sensitive detection of low-expression RNA molecules with increased complexity and transcript coverage. Benefit from the specificity and efficiency of the complete QIAseq workflow to expedite SARS-CoV-2 metatranscriptomics research.
